About My Project
My name is Amber Matson and I work as an Admin Assistant for Capgemini Business Services. I have been with Capgemini for nearly 1 year, and was very excited to be put forward for The Royal Society for the Blind’s (RSB) Young Business Leaders (YBL) Program 2008/2009. There are 20 participants in this years program and I look forward to making long-lasting friendships and networks.
I will be completing a Business Improvement Project (BIP) over the next 10 months. This benefits Capgemini and allows me the chance to develop leadership skills at the same time. The second part of completing this YBL Journey is a Community Involvement Project (CIP). This project allows me to work with, and for, the RSB in a massive fundraising effort across the next 10 months. My goal is to raise thousands of dollars to help the RSB provide much needed vision equipment.
My CIP will give me the opportunity to:
- challenge myself
- identify personal strengths
- learn new skills including project and event management, budgeting and finance
- think laterally and creatively
- represent Capgenini and the RSB to the wider community
- further expand my networks and friendship circles
This website is a ‘portal’ where I will be posting new ideas, upcoming events, thanking those who have helped me and promoting the RSB and YBL program. I hope you take the time to check up on me regularly and get involved where you can.
I want to hear from you! please send me an email.
Tell me what you thought of events… give me ideas on what to do next time. If you have a contact that might be able to help, please pass their details on. The next 10 months are going to be fantastic, and thank you in advance for your support.
